RGB led Warp effect.

Here’s a link to a nice little warp effect oscillator that consists of a 2pin 3v RGB led, 2x 3.5mm mono Jack’s, a 1k resistor and a 10uf cap.

The photos in the link show basic construction and it in operation with a feed from one of my chaos synth pcbs.

The led must be an RGB type, normal LEDs won’t work.. Different resistors or maybe a diode instead and cap values will affect the warping effect of the oscillator, so feel free to experiment with larger caps for example… ‘hairy’ rotary switches would be perfect for having multiple choices of resistor or capacitor combos.

All in all, a nice little pocket sized effect that requires minimal parts, with scope for use in other setups like eurorack or other diy noise projects.

These things can also be hooked up as DIY vactrols to control other noise circuits by sticking an LDR on the led.
